Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (PMLP) 

Services useful for returnees include: 

• issuance of identity documents; 
• address registration (declaration of residence); 
• citizenship and dual citizenship matters; 
• migration matters (residence permits and visas); 

• forwarding letters to persons being sought; 
• change of personal identity number. 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia

Information on: 

• consular assistance for Latvian citizens abroad (replacement of passports, eID cards and related matters);
• diaspora involvement in public policy, including issues related to return migration;
• the Ministry’s diaspora project grant competitions (including events promoting return migration).
